How to Plan Your Summer

Budget Planning

Minimum (1 concert + local events):

  • 1 Pru Center ticket: $100
  • Transportation: $20
  • Food/merch: $50
  • Cup sleeve events: $30
  • Total: $200

Moderate (2-3 concerts + festival):

  • 2-3 concerts: $300-500
  • K-Pop Festival NJ VIP: $150
  • Multiple events: $100
  • Merch/food: $150
  • Total: $700-900

Max (Everything):

  • 4+ concerts: $800+
  • MetLife BTS (if announced): $300+
  • KCON NY: $400
  • All local events: $200
  • Merch/albums: $300+
  • Total: $2,000+

Calendar Strategy

Book these dates NOW:

Must-attend (if you’re a fan):

  • Your bias group’s concert (obviously)
  • K-Pop Festival NJ (June 28-29)
  • KCON NY (July 19-21) – if announced lineup is good

Strong recommend:

  • At least one Pru Center show (experience the venue)
  • Northeast Dance Championship (June 1) – even as spectator
  • Palisades Park Cultural Festival (August 10)

Optional/filler:

  • Weekly dance battles
  • Cup sleeve events
  • Beach day
  • BBQ meetups

Ticket Buying Strategy

Presale priorities:

  1. Join artist fan clubs (Weverse, Lysn, etc.) – presale access
  2. Set alerts for ticket drop announcements
  3. Have payment info ready
  4. Use multiple devices during on-sale
  5. Don’t panic if you miss presale – general sale usually has inventory

Avoid:

  • Buying resale before general sale happens
  • Third-party sellers (high scam risk)
  • "Too good to be true" deals

If sold out:

  • Check official resale (Ticketmaster, AXS)
  • Wait until 1 week before show (prices drop)
  • Day-of ticket releases sometimes happen

Weather Contingencies

Outdoor events (Festival NJ, Palisades Park Festival):

  • Rain happens. Bring ponchos.
  • Events rarely cancel (check social media morning-of)
  • Covered areas fill up fast in rain

Indoor events:

  • AC is aggressive in arenas. Bring a light jacket.
  • Hydration is critical (water bottles allowed but empty at entry)

What’s NOT Happening (Rumor Control)

Debunked rumors:

  • BLACKPINK reunion tour (members focused on solo)
  • NewJeans at MetLife (no stadium tour planned)
  • Free BTS pop-up in Fort Lee (scam posts going around)

If it sounds too good to be true, verify on official channels first.

September & Fall Preview

September shows:

  • September 20: IVE at Pru Center
  • September 28: Possible additional Pru dates (TBA)

Fall preview (October-November):

  • SM Town possible East Coast dates
  • Year-end award shows (MAMA in LA, not NJ)
  • Winter comeback season prep

The Takeaway

Summer 2026 is the most active K-Pop season Bergen County has ever seen. Between confirmed concerts, the new festival, dance competitions, and community events, there’s something happening almost every weekend from May through September.

Start planning now:

  • Mark confirmed dates
  • Set ticket sale alerts
  • Budget accordingly
